Dolci D / Café + Retail

Dolci D is a family run business working to bring specialty needs foods to the Booton, NJ neighborhood as well as supplying partners nationally throughout the US. The Dolci D Café was designed and built to suit the offerings of ready to eat items, produce, pantry, and education, all while welcoming visitors to stay a while for a coffee and a treat. Try their Biscotti!

Involvement ranges from concept development, site and customer research, rendering, architectural concept drawings, vendor direction, graphic design, signage, visual merchandising.

PAT McGRATH / Global Retail I

PAT McGRATH LABS is a cosmetics line developed by the legend herself. The brand looks to offer lush and runway quality product to a consumer interested in makeup and beauty as an art-form of expression. The offerings go beyond the basics and the expected.

Retail Shop-in-Shops designed for UK and USA markets. Involvement extends from strategy, concept development, fixture design, display/visual merchandising design, vendor management, planning and seasonal updating.

As the Director of Global + NA Visual Merchandising, involvement extends from strategy, new development, fixture design, display/visual merchandising design, graphic development, vendor management, budgeting, planning and seasonal updating.

Directing a team of 5-8 designers, together we executed designs and direction for each market. Bobbi Brown Cosmetics, part of the Estée Lauder group, has a presence in 6 continents over a full range of markets: Free Standing Stores, Shop-in-Shop, Open Sell, Travel Retail, Events, Digital.

Day to day includes working collaboratively with the corporate arms of the company, still and motion visual creative, procurement, vendor development, marketing and business development, as well as collaborating directly with each individual global region market team.

The Beverly Hills freestanding store was conceived as a hub to enter into an explorative moment with BB Pros. This is a place where consumers and fellow BB Pros meet to dive deep into new product, care, texture and color exploration.

Bobbi Brown - Travel Retail Open-Sell

Travel Retail is its own market. Recognizing that customers on the go are looking for a specific experience was key in designing the Bobbi Brown Travel Retail open-sell system. In a typically fast paced setting, we are looking to cater to the returning customer grabbing their trusted product and also the new, browsing customer who is looking to meet their beauty needs and try something new. Behind the scenes, the system is designed and engineered to make this possible.

Shiseido / Visual Merchandising

Universal Display designed for international production. Design features 3 updateable graphics: Brand Panel, 4 Color Artwork, Product Descriptor. Containing variable risers in a hidden compartment, it is designed for flexibility to allow the counter staff to create a presentation as directed by the Shiseido Global VM. This successful design remained in production for many years and has been in use for many more.

Counter Units designed and produced for Burt’s Bees sales points throughout the USA.

 POS Counter Unit designed and produced for Burt’s Bees USA.  Unit is moulded plastic and machined oak wood, stack-able and updateable.

High2Low / Game Learning Sustainability

High2Low is a game that focuses on human water consumption. It is found that human water consumption is doubling every 20 years, at more than twice the rate of human population growth. This is an issue of sustainability that must be brought to the public in a manner to which people can relate and are willing to listen.

The result of a research thesis in designing for learning, High2Low reaches players in a casual scenario to build understanding. Research shows that playful investigation, practice and safe failing, can help people access complex issues and ways of thinking. Requiring strategy, knowledge building and teamwork, this game directly relates to how water is consumed in daily activities and how this volume can be reduced to save this precious resource.

A real topic and real fun. An atypical drinking game, players literally consume water and circulate it among each other. Water consumption rises and falls where and when you may not expect it.
